Yet another remote but intriguing destination for wildlife watching, Mahale Mountains National Park is located along the shores of Lake Tanganyika in Kigoma. Idyllic and picturesque with a backdrop of crystalline blue water and sugar white sandy beaches, Mahale Mountains National Park is the most prominent chimpanzee sanctuary of Tanzania. To add to the adventure, there are no roads leading to Mahale and one can reach destination by either walking or boating along the shoreline.
