The Warere Beach is nestled on a secluded strip of beach, east of Nungwi, one of the most popular beaches in Zanzibar. Nungwi is known for its crystal blue water, phenomenal sandy beaches, snorkeling, and great nightlife.

While most hotels in Nungwi are crowded into Nungwi Village, Warere Beach is located in a quiet, isolated stretch of beach that allows for privacy and pure relaxation, yet easy access to all the action Nungwi has to offer whenever you need a little excitement. The view from our stretch of beach is breathtaking, and we designed our hotel around this spectacular view. Each of our individual bungalows and rooms has views to the beach. Our three special beach front rooms are literally on the high tide mark. Our tropical garden is well established and we have put a lot of care into maintaining native plants and trees. No trees were cut down during construction of the hotel.

Beach: Our beach is very tidal, during high tide you can swim directly from the hotel steps, while at low tide you can walk along the beach for miles. About 15 minutes walk to the east is a wonderful sandbank where you can relax and swim until the tide starts coming in again. During low tide you can also walk directly to the turtle aquarium and Nungwi village along the beach. A tide table is available at reception so you can time your walks and ensure you return before high tide.

Room Types We have a total of 15 rooms, making the Warere Beach a small, intimate hotel. All our double rooms have private ocean view balconies and sliding mosquito netted doors so you can allow the sea breeze to ventilate your room. Our bungalows are very private, while our upstairs rooms in the main building enjoy a spectacular view over the hotel and beach. Extra beds for adults or children can be arranged on request in all double rooms at an additional cost. Baby cots are available free of charge.

• 1 Ocean View Suite on the first floor of our main building, can accommodate up to four adults – The suite is adjoining with an upstairs double room, making it perfect for a large family or group of friends.
• 1 Garden view single, a small cosy room for single travellers on a budget
• 3 Ocean Front Bungalows – 2 of these are adjoining, ideal for families and friends. These rooms are right at the ocean front and you can hear the waves crashing below you.
• 7 Ocean View Bungalows – twin or double rooms can be arranged.
• 3 Ocean View Rooms on the first floor of our main building.

• All rooms have AC; mosquito netting on doors, windows and beds; hair dryer; safe deposit box; ceiling fan; bathroom amenities and laundry service at an extra charge. Included in the room rates: • Full breakfast served from 7:30 am until 11am. Breakfast includes tropical fruits, homemade bread, cereals, a la cart eggs or pancakes and tea and coffee. Guest can request an a la cart breakfast at any time. • Free Wi-Fi in the restaurant and bar • Fresh daily beach towels • Beach shoes, fins and face masks are available on request and free of charge. • Yoga mats are available for guest use. • Showers for guests who stay after check out time and wish to use the beach
• Swimming Pool Our infinity swimming pool, nestled in our tropical garden, gives right onto the ocean. Beach loungers and swings, as well as a hammock are available. We also have sand toys for our younger guests.
• Restaurant Our on-site Restaurant serves delicious Swahili fusion cuisines and no request is too difficult for our chefs. Special dietary requirements are easily catered for, please contact us in advance to arrange any special meals.
• Bar The bar offers a full range of wines by the bottle and glass as well as cocktails and mock tails, coffee and tea.
