The rooms are en-suite with large bathrooms, comfortable king size beds draped with large mosquito nets, private terrace or patio with garden or sea view. All rooms are double but in all Sunshine suites it’s possible to add an extra bed.
Sunshine Hotel Zanzibar boasts an à la carte restaurant next to the pools and overlooking the Indian Ocean with a bar and a lounge for refreshments and snacks. Guests can explore the surroundings by bike or relax on the beach.

SUNSHINE SUITE
Sunshine Suites are located in 3 bungalows. There are 4 rooms in each building: two upstairs and two down stairs. From the most of the rooms you can see the ocean from others you can see the tropical garden. In all the rooms you can relax on the comfortable furniture on the spacious balconies or veranda.
BLUE BREEZE
It is located right above the Honeymoon suite in the same bungalow. Equal in size but instead of private garden it has a spacious terrace with comfortable furniture and a great view to the ocean.
HONEYMOON SUITE
This beach front suite perfect for lovers offers spectacular view of the Indian Ocean with absolute privacy. It is our most luxurious room on the ground floor with a plunge pool in the veranda, private access to the ocean and outdoor furniture.
GARDEN ROOMS
These are 2 rooms located at the back of the property with garden view. The lower level Garden Suite with its private outdoor patio is able to accommodate 2 adults and 2 children while the lower level Garden Deluxe with its private terrace is able to accommodate 4 adults. Both rooms offer same comfort as the Sunshine Suite.
Restaurant & Bar
Our restaurant and bar serve a wide variety of delicious fresh food and drinks. The meals are a fusion of Swahili and European cuisine. The restaurant is open all day and we offer constant snack menu during the day. Lunch and dinner menu change every day.
We offer accommodation with breakfast only or on half board basis (half board means a three course dinner) as well as Full board.
Beach
Sunshine hotel is located on the beautiful beach of Matemwe which has pristine powdery white sand and turquoise water. The beach is perfect for sunbathing, long walks, cycling and swimming during high tides. During low tide the guests can enjoy a walk to the reef as they see how the locals carry out their daily activities.
Swimming pool
The 2 pools are situated near the restaurant and are a perfect escape from the heat. The main pool with water fall offers a large relaxing area and possibility for diving refresh while the infinity beach pool gives the best view of the Indian Ocean and Matemwe coast.
