Restaurant Makuti
The 1800 m2 large restaurant “Makuti” connects the Ocean Lounge & Cinema, Sports Bar, Barazza and Main Restaurant under one spectacular roof. The sophisticated island cuisine, fresh seafood and fish, and complementing Indian, Arabic and African dishes perfectly represent Zanzibar’s heritage.
Choose from our 3- and 4-course dinners and enjoy our rich breakfast buffet in the morning.
For special occasions, we are happy to arrange our regular live cooking events in the purpose-built open kitchen, as well as barbecues and kitchen parties.
Sports Bar
Our newly designed sports bar is situated in the main restaurant “Makuti”. Equipped with three 50-inch TVs you can view all the major sporting events around the globe and around the clock. Big Games and Tournaments will be shown on our big screen in the Ocean Lounge.

Ocean Lounge & Cinema
Our Ocean Lounge is situated on the top deck of our restaurant “Makuti” and is characterized by Indo – Arabic and Swahili design influences.
The cool shade and gentle ocean breezes provide a welcome retreat from the hot African sun. In the locally produced wooden daybeds and refined lounge furniture you will find a great space to relax and linger, perhaps with a fresh juice or for our popular aperitifs.
You are also more than welcome to join our regular dinner movie nights with a vast collection of classics, blockbusters or documentaries. Special kids movienights can also be arranged with fresh popcorn and soda.
Barbecue around the Pool
Our famous Barbecue around the pool provides an outstanding food & entertainment experience. Enjoy delicious seafood, salads, soups, desserts, homemade dips and many special seasonal creations. A magnificent set-up around our 33-meter-long pool under Zanzibar’s starry sky, is something that cannot be missed. Both national and international bands and artists guarantee high class performances.

Jetty Bar Kitchen & Retreat
Lean back and enjoy life, the ocean breeze, our sophisticated snacks and the great mock- or cocktails of our local Barmen. We absolutely recommend taking a book, perhaps under our sundeck and to listen to the natural force of the tide coming towards the coast.
Jump into the clear ocean whenever the tide allows or use the staircase with extended Platform during low tide to discover the blue lagoon and its’ inhabitants. It’s also the perfect spot to Follow the “seaweed women” who are working in their fields during low tide or try to catch some octopus Pweza and calamari with the kids around who will be happy to practice their English. Once a month, when the red shimmering moon rises from the darkness of the ocean, we celebrate our Jetty Bash. Join for music, drinks, happy hour and happy people.
